Hey, so glad you stopped by. Let me show you around!
Hey, I’m Julie and I’m here to show you how to successfully pursue interest-led learning, even through high school. Through courses, books, and other materials, I teach you the ins and outs. Subscribers get special offers and inside stories and tips. I also help you grow in your faith with vetted Bible studies and teach you how to simply implement natural living principles in your home for healthy, holy living.
Who am I? I’m a homeschool mom just like you!
Veteran Homeschooling Mom of 4
First of all, I love Jesus and I lead worship for the women’s ministry at my local church. But, my job is a 17-year veteran homeschooling mom of four children, all of whom have special needs. Two of them have ADHD, one has Asperger’s, one is gifted with Aspie traits and sensory/regulation issues. One has dyslexia and one has anxiety disorder. All of my children have food allergies. I have fibromyalgia, food allergies, and multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS). All of these issues are managed without medication.
I didn’t start out homeschooling following an interest-led, unschoolish approach. I used unit studies. I bought full curriculum packages. But, as I discuss in my book, God Schooling: How God Intended Children to Learn, I quickly burned out and truly thought about quitting. The Lord led me to radically change what I was doing. And, now, after successfully graduating two of my children, I offer my experience to you.
Wait! I’m also an experienced, trained Master Herbalist
All those allergies, sensitivities, and chronic health issues led me to study natural health. So, I am also a trained Master Herbalist in western herbal practice and am completing formal training in aromatherapy. I have managed my family’s health, food and environmental allergies, and my own chronic illness for more than twenty years using a natural and integrative approach.
I want to make it easy for you to take control of your family’s health and well-being. Who doesn’t want to feel better, eat better, sleep better, live better? As a fellow homeschooling mom, I know the challenges of wellness to your Christian values, your time, and your pocketbook. Let me teach you how to be successful in this area as well.
And, when I’m not making kombucha or kayaking on Lake Michigan, I really enjoy a steaming mug of Earl Grey tea on a crisp, autumn morning while I watch the sun come up. How about you?
